Breathe it in, Spring is on its way. I do love Spring, it’s so full of hope for what lies ahead and for me very much marks the beginning of the year, that’s why I got married in Spring. You can take a look at my wedding here. I’ve been eagerly putting together my Spring colour boards for you. It’s such a great time of year for colours and if I were you I’d keep an eye on the highstreet’s Spring collections arriving in store. Particularly Ted Baker….I do love a floral bridesmaid dress.
Shades of Yellow – Daffodil is THE flower of spring, but if you’re not a big fan of bright yellow fear not. There are many varieties of daffodil and therefore shades from bright ywlloe through to white. My preference for yellow is to keep it subtle, or if you want it bright tone it down with greys and whites. It’s also a great time in the shops to grab some yellow bridesmaid dresses!
Brights – This is the perfect time of year for brights. Just look at the picture below of the shades of tulips! You may have heard that tulips don’t sit well in bouquets as they can flop. Mine stayed perfectly perky so have a chat with your florist if you want to make an impact with a whole bouquet of them. They make good budget friendly bridesmaid and flower girl bouquets too.
Mint & Peach – I do love this combination still (yes I had it at my wedding). I just think it’s really fresh and you can brighten it up with corals or tone it down with greys and whites.
