Aynhoe Park, Oxfordshire

If on your list of venue must-haves is ‘Giraffe suspended from ceiling’ as well as commutable from London, countryside location, and rooms to stay, then you may not realise it but you’re talking about Aynhoe Park, Oxfordshire.

Aynhoe Park is a Grade I listed 17th-century AWESOME Palladian country house.  Forget any pre-conceived ideas you have about country house interiors and start to let your mind wander.   Alice in Wonderland “curiouser and curiouser” springs to mind.  It’s art gallery meets the Natural History Museum meets child play room and adventurers paradise…..that description is half way there. In fact the only way to get a feel for the magic of Aynhoe Park is to spend a good amount of time going through the real wedding features further down the page and making sure you arrange a visit to see it.

Aynhoe Park is an exclusive use venue.  All you have to decide is if you want to keep the secret to yourself, share it with as many people  as possible (up to 500 with a marquee) or just your nearest and dearest.  It really is up to you.  The venue can be yours for a day or a weekend.  I’d of course recommend the later, I’d even suggest keeping your photographer for the weekend to really have enough time to capture your day and the amazing house.  The other great thing about the house is it works so well for those couple with little time on their hands to think about decoration as the venue really does all that hard work for you.

Aynhoe Park is not a hotel. Aynhoe Park is a spectacular private house embodying British eccentricity at its best with 15 bedroom suites, just one hour from London. Available exclusively for private hire for weddings, for parties, for long or short stays. For a night, for a week, for two people or for two hundred, join the few who know its secret.

Your host’s first successes were in organising parties for thousands of people. Now at Aynhoe Park he brings the same spirit to a much more intimate and infinitely more refined environment.

There is nowhere more special to hold the most important party of your life.
